Chess programs for schools in Bangkok
Fat Cat Chess Academy runs chess ECAs, after-school programs and chess clubs on your campus, taught in English or Thai. Our coaches run a relaxed chess-club style session that children look forward to every week, and we organise tournaments for your school too. We have been running after-school chess in schools since 2016.
Schools we teach at

Concordian International School

Why schools choose Fat Cat
An activity children want to come to, and one that is easy for your school to run.
Proven in schools
Running after-school chess since 2016, we know school timetables, pick-up routines and how to work with an activities office.
A real chess club feel
Children join because they want to play, so our sessions run like a chess club: lots of real games with friends, with coaches guiding along the way. Beginners and experienced players enjoy the same room.
Staffed to your ratio
We provide coaches at the ratio your school sets, typically one coach for every ten primary students.
In-school tournaments
We run tournaments inside your school so club members get to compete, a fun goal that keeps them practising.
Host your own tournament
We help your school host invitational or open tournaments with age groups, for individuals or teams, drawing on our experience running FIDE-rated Caturayuth events and Friendly Bughouse at the academy.
Low admin for your school
We handle the sessions, the coaches and the tournaments. Your activities team has one point of contact.
Programs
Shaped around each school’s timetable and students.
ECA / After School
Weekly after-school chess through the term in a club atmosphere, for complete beginners and students who already play.

In-school tournaments, school-hosted invitational or open tournaments with age groups for individuals or teams, and activity-day workshops.
